I have been exploring Italy to seek some of the best spots because let's face it: what else would I be doing during my summer? So next time you're feeling restless or just trying to enjoy a peaceful Sunday afternoon, take a look at some of the ultimate must-try spots in Italy.
Mount Etna / Catania
This active stratovolcano attracts all types of visitors for many reasons including scenery and education. The hike isn't too demanding, the local people are very friendly, and the views were perfection.

Mount Etna: on the east coast of Sicily, Italy, in the Metropolitan City of Catania
Salerno
This popular spot is a typical calm Italian port city southeast of Naples. Renting a boat is key because the views from the water tend to be the best part. The city is intriguing and the ambience is warm and friendly (the cocktails are too).

This view was definitely one of the best I have ever seen... highly recommend seeing it for yourself.
Gelato / Rome
This bustling city is a real treasure in Italy in the Lazio region. It is a very family-friendly spot where you can feel a homey vibe. The prices are great for the amount and quality of the gelato offered.

The gelato was served perfectly. I was so used to eating it, so finding a stand where the lines are not long was satisfying.
