Simply put, Val-d'isère is amazing. Skiing is a staple activity in this town. The French locals host international ski teams for training and they put the resort to good use, attracting a large (and very international) crowd, of all ages and skill levels.

Our first day we went up to the bowls to check out the scene on the mountain... I was SO thrilled and pleasantly surprised.
I made memories here that I will keep with me forever. My favorite part was sitting on the mountain-top restaurant balcony, enjoying a crisp glass of wine after a long day of skiing. Skiing requires a proportionate amount of aprè. On the balcony of La Folie Douce you get a whole new perspective.
I learned how to ski in the dark that day.
Pour l'instant, la France!
